Jatinga, is one of the most popular bird watching centre under the supervision of district forestry office in Haflong. This beautiful village earned its popularity due to its majestic views and the mysterious phenomenon of birds “committing suicide”. It has been observed by the villagers that during the months of August and November, the birds of varied species die due to mysterious reasons. This occurs especially during the dark, foggy nights with no moon in the sky.
