With the “Tropical Monsoon Rainforest Climate“, Assam is temperate (summer max. at 95–100 °F or 35–38 °C and winter min. at 43–46 °F or 6–8 °C) and experiences heavy rainfall and high humidity. … Spring (Mar–Apr) and autumn (Sept–Oct) are usually pleasant with moderate rainfall and temperature.

Best time to visit Assam is during the months of winters and summers, i.e.: November to March. Winters in Assam are chilling but enjoyable, and summers are delightful and refreshing. Try to avoid monsoon season, because heavy rains at times lead to inconveniences.

DAY 01 : GUWAHATI ARRIVAL

Arrive Guwahati Airport / Railway Station……..your tour begins in the beautiful North East!!!! Our local office representative shall meet & greet you @ airport / station & you shall be transferred to hotel. On arrival check into the hotel. GUWAHATI - the commercial capital city of the north-eastern state of Assam, formerly known as Pragjyotishpur (the City of Eastern Light). Fixed between the picturesque hills of the eastern flanks of the Himalayan mountain range, Guwahati houses the political capital of the state, Dispur. The gateway to the 7 North Eastern states, also referred as seven sisters, Guwahati is a vital tourist base point, besides being an attraction in its own!On arrival check into the Hotel.Later in the evening enjoy RIVER CRUISE over the river Brahmaputra (Optional cost). The longest river in India, the Brahmaputra, runs through the spectacular scenery of Assam and is an ideal introduction to river cruising in India.Overnight stay at Guwahati. DAY 02: GUWAHATI – MANAS N.P (150 KMS/ 3.20 HRS DRIVE)

Morning after breakfast drive to Manas. Enroute visit KAMAKHYA TEMPLE - Kamrup Kamakhya has been the seat of the powerful tantrik cult in India. Situated atop the Nilachal Hill in Guwahati, this temple is one of the 108 Shakti Peethas of the country. Rising to a modest height of 562 feet above the mighty river Brahmaputra, the hill on which the temple stands commands a magnificent view of the entire city.

DAY 03: MANAS LOCAL

Early morning go for Elephant ride @ 6AM. Slow-paced Elephant-rides through the high grasslands is the most ethnic and exciting way of exploring Manas National Park. You get to go deep into the natural habitat of the wildlife to observe them from close quarters like never before. Elephant-rides at dawn - navigating through grasslands - with an element of uncertainty and surprise are an awesome experience in the Park. Return for Breakfast and Jeep safari in the Range. Exploring the wilderness of the Manas Jungle in an open 4-wheel drive jeep is a mighty thrilling experience - especially for those who love to drive on different terrains and also like to watch wildlife in their natural habitat. Overnight stay at Manas.

DAY 04: MANAS N.P – GUWAHATI (150 KMS/ 3.40 HRS DRIVE)

Morning after breakfast drive to Guwahati. On arrival check into hotel, later visit KAMAKHYA TEMPLE - Kamrup Kamakhya has been the seat of the powerful tantrik cult in India. Situated atop the Nilachal Hill in Guwahati, this temple is one of the 108 Shakti Peethas of the country. Rising to a modest height of 562 feet above the mighty river Brahmaputra, the hill on which the temple stands commands a magnificent view of the entire city, NAVAGRAHA TEMPLE - dedicated to the nine planets in the solar system this temple was built by the ruler Rajeswar Singh in late 18th century AD. Also known as the Abodes of Surya, the Navagraha Temple or the temple of the nine celestial bodies is located in the south eastern part of Guwahati, on a hill by name Chitrachal. It is a center of astrological and astronomical research, STATE ZOO - Spread over an area of 130 hectares, Assam State Zoo is the only zoo in India where a natural forest still exists. It is one of the major zoos of the country and boasts of a unique diversity of animal habitat. The botanical garden located within the same vicinity is called Guwahati’s green retreat. In the evening enjoy the RIVER CRUISE over the river Brahmaputra (Optional cost).
